Require your teams to commit to doing a community service experience?

The best organizations and leagues require all teams to take time away from playing and dedicate their attention and efforts to volunteering. Volunteering is a tremendous opportunity for personal development that translates into better teammates and athletic development. Probably need to explain why.  This experience is absolutely in line with player development and the goal of being more aware and inclusive.

Recommended Action Steps:

• Work with the local school districts, business, or recreational organizations to see if there are any community service opportunities they have access to or have needs for volunteers
• Ask local non-profits if there are any community service opportunities.
